4K Ultra HD TV Shipments to Increase Dramatically in 2014

Shipments of 4K Ultra HD TVs will total 1.9 million units in 2013 and jump to 12.7 million units in 2014, according to the latest NPD DisplaySearch Quarterly Global TV Shipment and Forecast Report.

As low as those numbers are, I think they should be more concerned with deliveries to end customers as the retail channels can hold quite a few units. Thus far I've only talked to one private party who owns an UHDTV.
