I spoke with an Accounts Specialist last week and they claim no such prepay options exist anymore.

this is true. we wanted to get the annual prepay, but were told it is no longer available. If this is true, we will call in a HURRY!

however, as stated, when something sounds too good to be true......

Actually, it IS true. It's account stacking:

"3. I had a similar call a month back and at that time they told me that they are offering a shared package where I will have to pay only 50% of the cost and some other customer will pay another 50%."

"....if I can pay upfront for the whole year I get 50% off...."

The guy is calling to get you to be that "some other customer." Actually, he's going to take the money and run, I'll bet. MIGHT get the two of you started with stacking, take the money and be long gone by the time you start getting bills. And questions.

As navychop said, it's account stacking or sharing. They will put two or three households together on one account and they ask to prepay for a year in case the sh*t hits the fan. Wonder how it works afterwards for the online account and when you call Dish for something. They will probably tell you that with this "deal" you cannot have access to Dish online and you have to go through them instead of calling Dish.

As for the number and call id, spoofed all the way...

i used to have prepay years ago , then dish would not let me do it anymore except for HBO, & Showtime at a yearly rate
