need help. i just got the new h20 and 5 lnb dish. i installed the dish in the same spot where my 3 lnb was at. got the new dish up and pointed right but no signal. to check i took just the 5lnb off and but the 3 back in the dish and get a signal. need help.

thanks for the help but I was off on the aim had friend help while I moved the dish and now it works. I now get the local stations in hd. works great and wroth the money. i get it at cuicit city the only thing it cost me was 80.00 for the dish and the reciever was 200 but you get a 200 rebate.

the dish requires different angles than your old dish. Its not as simple as placing it on the old stand. Directv suggests professional installation because it is a bit more difficult to aim the dish correctly.

right. you need pro installation. You have to have the right coordinates (tilt, elevation and azimuth) in your area. This is different from the old one. Call D*
since they offer free install for existing customers.
