Also another week and another uplink report without any remedying of the Turbo HD channel short change. I'm beginning to wonder if our Team Summit attendees got a bit of the shining on from E* management about that.

That'd be a bummer. I guess anyone who was considering jumping to Turbo should do so just in case in order to be grandfathered. I think E* should just be forthcoming and state upfront that because of provider programming restrictions we may not be able to offer all new HD channels to our Turbo HD customers. That puts the problem squarely on the providers which I assume is where the problem rests. Turbo Bronze gives great value for the cost. The other Turbos not as great a value imo. I'm leaving out Absolute since the package isn't available any longer.

Just "moving" won't do it. The feeds are offered and controlled by AAD, not DISH.

you wont even have to move. If you dont get HD locals right you can try and qualify through AAD. SInce there is no "qualification" per se for digital, you'll probably be approved

Good point! You can also avoid the moral issues involved with "Moving" by taking advantage of the changes in the law. I just don't understand the exorbinate rate they are charging.

Well, remember, AAD has to rent transponder space from Charlie. And Charlie has to pay for his lawyers to fight the Fisher case, among others, so he can save us all from having to pay exorbitant fees like those demanded by Fisher.

So, if I get SD locals through Dish, but Dish doesn't have a spot beam available for Lubbock Texas (at least on 129), Should I be able to qualify for HD locals through AAD beginning Saturday?
