612 DVR HDMI

Hey I have a friend who Dish sent him another 612 due to a hard drive issue but now his HDMI port does not work. Has there been any issues with the 612's having HDMI issues? I told him to contact Dish about the issue.

tell him to check the pins on his cable and the ports on both ends. Many people damage the small pins by not being careful enough when connecting and disconnecting HDMI cables. It's also entirely possible that he got a bum receiver from dish. I have not heard of any hardware or software problems with the HDMI ports specific to the 612s yet.
