622 Remote question

I had a 622 installed today to replace my old 6000 machine. Things went pretty good mostly because I gained a lot of knowledge reading this site and knew what I wanted. The only thing I forgot to ask was about using my old 6000 RF remote as a second RF remote for the 622. Because all my equipment is in a closet in the family room, I need to use a RF remote in the family room rather than the IR one that changes channel 1. The second one is needed in the upstairs bedroom to change SD channels on channel 2 .

I've followed the instructions to program the 6000 remote to the address on the Systems Info, but it doesn't seem to work.

Before I go out and buy another RF remote, I thought I would ask the experts.

Found my answer on site. Won't work.

try programming the 6000 remote to the TV2 address. Then program the new 622 TV2 remote to be a "TV1 UHF PRO" remote. Procedure is listed here somewhere (set to TV1 address and move the little switch in the battery compartment to one click from all the way to the right).
