622 vs 722

Good afternoon all, I am dumping d* as of now and am having dish network installed tomorrow. Other than the amount of record time between the two is one of these receivers better than the other?

Why am I changing? Well to make a long story short it's cost.

The 722 also uses a different version of the decoding chip. The original one was suppose to do VC-1 (in additiontion to Mpeg2 and mpeg4). But it had problems. The later one does do VC1. Dish plans to have DishOnline HD material only available for the 722, reportedly because they are using VC-1.
