One of my local stations just began to broadcast digitally. MY other two digital tuners can tune in the digital version but show it at the actual location (33.1) and do not associate it with the analog location--32.

The 622 shows a signal strength of 87 but simply tells me that it is not locked and will not add the station to the locals or even tune to it directly.

Is all this likely just caused by the absence of PSIP data or might there be another cause for the 622's inability to tune in this station?

Sounds to me like the new digital station is not correctly coding it's PSIP data to re-map properly. That is most likely the cause of the 622's inability. If you can, get in touch with the chief engineer of the station and tell him the problem. Even if he blames something else, I'll bet that the problem suddenly "resolves" itself within 24 hours after you contact him (or her).
