Generally when dish uplink...it takes sometime to make them available to customers. As Scott reported in the other thread of HD for PR....there is a Retailers Chat on July 20th...so expect these channels to be available around that time.

So it all depends on the bandwith so each Spotbeam can carry up to 7 hd channels depends on the compresion and bandwith so in each TP there are 5spotbeams*7=35 channels for each TP

The mapdown no change so don't include them. TheList show them fine. If people are still interesting what mapdown is the go there.

I would include it, as the reason is nullified by including not changed MPEG-X info.
IMHO, each report should keep same set of parameters of each channel, ie should be consistent between threads here.

If I get some more requests I'll add them later. I don't use the dumb virtual mapping so I never thought about adding them.... at least they give us the choice unlike all the OTA tuners and their dumb virtual mapping.

Thanks digi for the spots utilization breakdown. Before if I remember properly...before today HD uplink...1 spot was in use for us for all our locals till now. Now 3 r in use...meaning the 2 spots r thus carring the HD channels uplink today......& 2 r still empty. If they do uplink some regional chanels...1 of them will be utilized for it...so that will left 1 spot for abt 7-8 HD more for us.

All the above will be probably very clear after the PR retailer chat that Dish will have on 20th. Hoping one of the announcement is cheaper way to upgrade the box from SD - HD.

Thanks Nel...that explanation was quite easy to understand. Hope u & all the PR HD folks enjoy the new HD channels whenever they r turned on. PR viewers have been HD thirsty on all DBS (Dish & Direct) & Cable system. It has been like everybody carries 6-7 channels & that has been like that for ever. Hoping Dish to break this norm...& be the leader of HD in PR
