722 Fan Issues

I'm on my second refurbished 722 and the fan is always running. I never had a new 722 but I did have two new 622 units and the fans never ran this much. I had a new 612 briefly and that was quiet. I also have a 922 and that runs silent. Is a continually running fan the norm? It runs even in standby mode. Thanks!

Do you have the 722 in an enclosed space or is it out where it is less likely to get hot?

Its in an enclosed space but their is space to allow air flow on each side, the top, and the back. The 622 I had was in the same space as was the the 612 I briefly had.

Have you checked the HDD temps? Menu-6-3-counters and then page down to HDD temps. Read this thread for cooling tips.
