Just to be clear.. you're not trying to change the TV2 remote id, with remote 2 are you? cause if you're getting effected by a TV2/UHF remote.. and you use *your* TV2 remote to change the ID ... you're probably changing someone else's receiver ... someone look quick for a post about remote 2 repeatedly not working in SE Ohio.. :) lol

That's the only way you can do it. Where do you get these ideas (among others I've seen from you)?

OP, check page 72 of User's Manual to make sure you are doing it right, if you haven't already. TG2, you should read it as well.

.

That's NOT the only way to do it. Preferred method, hit system info behind the front panel door on the receiver or hit menu twice on tv1 remote.

Had to hook up the antenna today as wife wanted to watch tv there in that room for tv2. I've tried reprogramming both by first pushing the front panel button to get to system info AND using remote 1. Doesn't sound like much more can be done to solve this problem! Could just go back to 2 wired receivers as we don't record from tv2 anyway. Maybe cost a little more. dunno :-(

Have you thought about trying a new TV2 remote. I don't think you will get that free from dish but I have gotten new ones off ebay for around10 to 20 dollars. Last time got 3 for 24.00. Kids were out the buttons and stuff. If you have done all that is listed here then I would say it is one of two things receiver or remote. The neighbor remote thing is a stretch. If someone had the same remote code wouldn't you see them using the remote to just change the channel or play back or whatever. And you are not. Just the recording show up. I even had my cat step on the remote and start a recording. If you don't want to get a remote have send you a replacement recviver with remotes. Swap it out and post back. You have another option if you can find out if disconnecting the ant., does the job. Turn remote two to RF and get a remote extender. seems redundant but would save receiver fee.

Is it possible someone has hacked into the OP's DISH Network account and is toying with his DVR's remote access or DISH online?

I'll try and turn the tv 2 remote to an RF signal. I already have remote control extenders from Radio Shack from a while back! How do you turn the signal to an RF?

Just an FYI-- The recording has started again tonight!! Called DISH and they said they want to send my info to a "specialist team." They also want me to make sure it takes the download every night for the next week as tech support said they might download some kind of software to my 722k. Any ideas what?
