My 722K that I own has started giving me problems. Approximately every five minutes it will display a message that says complete signal loss and then the receiver will reboot. The receiver was plugged into a power strip, I tried plugging the cord directly into the wall and there was no change in behavior. I did a check switch test and it didn't show any errors or problems.

If I disconnect the RG-6 cable coming from the satellite dish, the receiver behaves normally. I am able to watch recordings off of the DVR with no rebooting problems. Does anyone know if this is a dish/LNB problem or a receiver problem?

Thanks for your help,
Kenny

If the LNB cable is disconnected from the receiver and the receiver doesn't reboot I'd look for a cable or LNB problem. A guess would be a short, try removing cable from switch/LNB then connecting to receiver if it reboots replace the cable.

How long does it take Dish to email a certificate number?
