a question about different streaming hardware

My D-Link MovieNite device gives more info in thumbnails than my Sony BluRay player. Actually, the layout/format for both units are significantly different. For example, the Sony doesn't give me a "Just for kids" section like the D-Link does. Why isn't the display from both devices the same? I like the D-Link format better.

I get two different choices with Netflix on my Xbox360 also. My Samsung smart TV doesn't have the same options. I find that the layout is different from my 360, HTC tablet, smartphone, and smart TV.
