although most ABC feeds were on C-Band, and several backhauls of ABC programming were on Ku (NYPD Blue, The Practice, Home Improvement, America's Funniest Home Videos, Ellen, The Drew Carey Show, Spin City, Dharma & Greg, Two Guys, A Girl and A Pizza Place, Something So Right, Soul Man, Prey, C-16: FBI etc...) mostly on Telstar 4 Ku (formerly T-401) and most on Satcom K2 (although NBC already owns the satellite), which of the ABC affiliates were carried on Ku-Band at the time? aside from what's listed here? (although there weren't any 24/7 affiliates on FSS Ku-Band)
S3R-13: WJLA 7 (ABC - Washington, D.C.), also carried as the PT24 east coast ABC Affiliate until Nov. 1997 (when it was replaced by WKRN 2).
S3R-13L: WFAA 8 (ABC - Dallas-Ft. Worth)
S3R-13U: WCVB 5 (ABC - Boston), also one of the stations carried on Anik E2 (A2).
S3R-14: WPLG 10 (ABC - Miami)
S3R-14L: WLS 7 (ABC - Chicago)
S3R-14U: WSB 2 (ABC - Atlanta), also carried as the east coast ABC affiliate on Primestar (GE2 Ku/W7).
S3R-15L: KABC 7 (ABC - Los Angeles), also carried as the west coast ABC affiliate on Primestar (GE2 Ku/W7).
S3R-15U: WABC 7 (ABC - New York City), also carried as one of the affiliates on DirecTV Puerto Rico.
S3R-16: KNXV 15 (ABC - Phoenix)
S3R-17L: KGO 7 (ABC - San Francisco)
S3R-17U: WTAE 4 (ABC - Pittsburgh)
S3R-18L: KTVX 4 (ABC - Salt Lake City), since the station was owned by Chris-Craft at the time, they also fed their news feeds on GSTAR-4 (R4) as part of the Chris-Craft/United Television news feeds (KCOP Los Angeles, KPTV Oregon, KMSP Minneapolis-St. Paul, WWOR New York, WRBW Orlando (newscast produced by WFTV) and KMOL San Antonio (which was non-UPN, but aired UPN programming during off-net hours after KRRT took the WB affiliation)).
WKRN 2 (ABC - Nashville), via Anik E2 (A2), which Starchoice lease the PT24 East stations from C-Band.
KOMO 4 (ABC - Seattle), via Anik E2 (A2).
KXLY 4 (ABC - Spokane), via Anik E2 (A2).
WXYZ 7 (ABC - Detroit), via Anik E2 (A2).
WKBW 7 (ABC - Buffalo), via Anik E2 (A2).
I wonder what other ABC affiliates they carried in '98? but as with the DEF feeds (Daily Electronic Feeds), most of these affiliates carried their news feeds on "ABC NewsOne" (T7), which also included other ABC O&O's (KTRK Houston, KFSN Fresno, WTVD Raleigh-Durham, WPVI Philadelphia, WJRT Flint & WTVG Toledo).
