annoys me that these networks that fed at the public trough are trying so hard to force consumers to pay twice. We watch your darned commercials as payment. Stop trying to get an extra $5/mo from us as well.

I kind of understand, but I'm not taking a side. Big providers Comcast, etc. do have contracts with the providers. They're not looking so much at us, but those chord cutters who have no services.

Of course if you can receive it OTA, and have a TiVo, you do not have to worry about the delays. Which means that most people could work around the restrictions.
