I know I have read many complaints about wasting bandwidth for moov, 999, and others but in my opinion those two ARE the biggest wastes. Who watches 999?

But then I realized that even though generally you don't seen functioning Voom displays, the people in charge of Voom probably need 999 in their marketing plan for display purposes. Huh, odd it never occurred to me WHY they even have 999.

By the way, do you need a Voom subscription to see 999?

I believe the initial intention of 999 was for displaying purposes at retailer stores such as Sears. In fact, when VOOM was initially launched, channel 999 was the only one not encrypted and because of that, I remember some people at AVSForum posting that they're able to watch with some custom hardware instead of the STB.

Voom needs to make news with exclusives!
