Activating a 600 Receiver

What channel do you set a 600 receiver to when first activating?

Looking at my notes, first ch 284 and after about 5 minutes of having contact with F1, change to ch 299. when you check you have an Eb above 6 then it should be ready for activation.

Thanks DJ but I found out you just tune to 299 with the old LNB and 252 on the new LNB.

Yep. New LNB here. Tuned to 252 until I had authorization, then to 299 to populate the guide.
