Hello all,

I'm a new DirecTV customer, just signed up last month. We have the Total Choice Premier package with 6 receivers - 5 regular and 1 DVR.

We'd like to change out one of the regular receivers for a DVR, but was curious what the best/least cost way to do it would be? I'm obviously under a contract and don't want to break anything, but would like to change out one regular for a DVR.

Can anyone offer some suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Call up D*, and see what they are willing to do, if it is for a SD DVR, you have a fair chance of success, you may get it free, or a portion of the usual cost (I have heard 49 bucks), either directly, via rebate, or as credits on your bill, otoh, they may charge you full price, if they try, hang up, try again. With a HDDVR, YMMV. It helps that you are a TCPr sub though.
