Adding HD DVR

I currently have Choice Xtra Classic plus HD. IF I upgrade my receiver to
HD DVR I've been told that it will cost an additional $ 8 plus $ 99 for the
HD DVR receiver. Should I still be able to keep the Choice Xtra Classic package?

Yes equipment upgrades don't change your base package.
Yes the dvr fee is now 8$ a month. The HDDVRs are normally 199$ so 99 is a good deal.

If its replacing a standard or HD box it might require an install, 49$

They offered a free install and some kind of kit to connect the HD DVR to my wireless internet.

Sweet, yeah the CCK-W (cinema connection kit) will connect your receiver to the Internet allowing you to utilize the On Demand features.

On demand works similar to Netflix but relies on downloading the content from the internet
