All DMA's now Western Arc

No they didn't. EA was primarily because of MPEG-4, Eastern spot beams, and Bandwidth. It has nothing to do with LOS for people whose western sky was obstructed.
I say it actually did, because they elected to put HD onto the far-west 129 position where many pre-existing WA'ers as well as some prospective new subs could not access it. Those many cases could usually be answered by switching to/installing EA.

Every Post you put on this forum is anti Echostar Dish. You have soft corner for Directv, It sucks very expensive old technology. You are not even sateliite user. you have the stupid streaming. I have americas 250 with NFL redzone for $103. Youtube with same will be over $103 plus taxes you dont get 290 channels super fast to change channels. You should be removed from this site and 5 lashes to your back for haterof DISH. I recommend SingaporeLaw.

You obviously haven't been around all that long ... read up if you want to know.

If Dish Network is all finished assigning transponders and satellite locations for their western arc, then it looks like the original theory of having all national channels on the 119 satellite and all spot beam locals on their 110 satellite is not going to be the case. I still notice there are a lot of national channels on the 110 satellite.

That is fine with me as my dish receives both satellites. I just wonder why the original plan was not put in place. Actually, I don't think this plan was ever made official by Dish Network, but rather it was just speculation on the part of posters here on this forum.

Funny how after rolling out all those satellite locations, dishes and switchgear, we're headed back to 119 only and a Dish 500 if you want locals.

When your locals go black on screen most likely. ;)

So for the last 2-3 weeks I have been "losing" 1 of my locals (EA - Harrisburg PA market). A black screen with white lettering comes on saying something like "Dish is aware that there is an interruption with this channel. We are working to get it back so no need to call" (I couldn't grab a screenshot so that's my paraphrasing ;) ). After a few hours it usually comes back on.

I thought maybe it was signal loss or a contract dispute but that wording would have been different. I guess it must be related to the locals moving soon .....

That is generated by your receiver when they lose the signal for the satellites. Or if it rains and they lose signal. It is meant to keep subs from calling in everytime the locals go out. If you are seeing it daily I assume you need a satellite dish repoint to get a stronger signal. Call DISH and ask them for a tech to come out and do that.

We get that here in southern KY. all the time. We also get the channels switching to streaming all the time when there isn't a cloud in the sky. And when it is stormy they won't even stream and I know it's not my internet because I will be online and it works perfectly.

That's a generic warning that shows up for signal loss. I would get your dish peaked out

You need a tech to repoint your dish and check any potential water damage to the cable/connectors/components

Doesn't Dish only have a couple of million subs left? Most are probably on WA already
Exactly - back when Dish did the transition from QPSK to 8PSK, they knew exactly how many people had which receivers and who would lose service if they made the conversion. Dish has to know how many are setup for WA vs EA and are making calculated decisions.
