Alternatives to Hopper/Joey for 2 HDTVs

Independent would be great. But the best we can do is 720p from the sling adapter to another device connected to the second TV. To save $11/month, simply mirroring TV1 in HD is good enough for me.

The new AppleTV - rumor - find out tomorrow - is supposed to support 1080P and improved AirPlay.

Throw in a Sling Adapter ...

Throw in an iOS device ...

This is a valid option ... however ... it all adds up pretty quickly and would be cheaper to just go Hopper/Joey.

If ... the new AppleTV has an embedded browser that supports Dish's playback ... then you would have an alternative solution ... that ... depending on costs for the AppleTV ... would pay itself off in a number of months.

Have to wait and see.
