In a notable example of the push to improve the visual quality of streaming 4K video, Amazon has announced that it will begin offering content with high dynamic range (HDR) in 2015 to its Amazon Prime members in the U.S., U.K. and Germany.

The move comes less than six months after Amazon first began streaming 4K titles and only three months after a number of TV set manufacturers showed TVs with HDR capabilities at CES in January.

The Amazon UHD quality is terrible when compared the the UHD I am getting from Netflix.

I just we had a way to see real uncompressed UHD at home. :D

I've watched Bosch and Orphan Black in UHD from Amazon and thought it looked great. Haven't tried Netflix yet but I will when Longmire is available. Hopefully Longmire will be in UHD.

I think there are some short uncompressed 4K demo clips available on the Internet if you just want to try. ;)
