Amazonas 61W in Northern California?

Greetings everyone,

A few days ago I saw a post in some other site that said that someone's friend in Idaho was getting Amazonas Ku with a large dish and that it worked "just fine".
Could that be true?
I'd appreciate those who have done more than look and the footprint picture to answer.

If it was a ku band signal, Idaho was receiving Amazona2, not amazonas1. I also can receive amazonas2 in BC with a 1.2 meter dish. You can lock your dish onto the amazonas2 TP and then give it a blind scan to see if you can receive amazonas1, but I suspect you will be outside the footprint. C-band may be a different situation.

There is only one transponder that most of the US can get on 61W and thats a test card
