Amazon's New Fire TV Sticks No Longer Support Sideloading

Amazon's market penetration on the storefront side + ridiculous "sales" (they're always like 50% off) make the Firesticks seem like an attractive deal to most consumers.
Bingo. The price (and the onn devices for the same reason) makes them more or less throw away devices. Grab one for a spare room, the garage, a camp, a cheap christmas gift stocking stuffer.

Hmmmm. Maybe use ONN at the RV with StarLink? But I have a little used FireStick I'll try first.

I have a couple 4K firesticks simply because they practically give them away a couple times a year. I also have a Roku Ultra for the same reason although I have never opened the box.

I used to tote along a Firestick when I traveled but nowadays I make a point to not turn on the TV when away on vacation.

I use the AppleTV in my primary living room setup although it doesn't get used that much as the apps on the Sony are usually sufficient.
