Analyst: PS4 and next-gen Xbox games will cost $70

Just some food for thought..
When adjusted for inflation, most games nowadays are cheaper now than they used to be. Take a look at this Toys R Us ad from 1989:
Now consider that the cheapest NES game cost $34.99. When adjusted, that costs $63.80 today. I think it's just different for us now because back then mom and dad usually foot the bill, while now we're opening up our own wallets, and also have other costs to deal with in our daily lives.
OT: Aren't these some of the same people who "speculated" that the next gen consoles would also ban used games? And this also contradicts Sony's declaration that games would max out at $60 in price. As meStevo said, speculation is nothing. I also recall hearing a while back that the Xbox 360 was going to get a Blu Ray Drive. How did that pan out?

Dang it yourbeliefs now I want to go back and play some of those nintendo games and relive the good ol days lol!
Those by far were the best. If I had the money and space I would get a collection like the Angry Video Game Nerd has. I miss the NES days.
Agreed! That is a rockstar list of NES games! I owned or at least played almost all of those!
I think many of us are blinded a little by nostalgia. Yes, Nintendo brought us some iconic games like Mario, Zelda, Castlevania, etc etc, but the fact is that out of the approximately 708 NES games that were released, honestly there were more bad than good, but that's the deal with basically all these old systems. For every Legend of Zelda and Super Mario 3, there were 3 Milon's Secret Castle, WWF Wrestlemania, Ghostbusters, and Silver Surfer.
Still, if you want your nostalgia fix there's always the virtual console on the Wii/Wii U, or if you want to be more frugal there's always emulators, which can be handy for playing rare games or others that didn't make it over here from Japan (which there are a LOT of.)
