Android Ice Cream Sandwich Announced

I don't know, I really like my galaxy.

Oh I liked mine too. The build quality just didn't compare to the Moto droids I've had or to htc. Like I said it made it light and thin. It just made it feel cheaper, to me, than those on feel alone. It was a trade off.

Nexus looks like a good one for sure, and I liked the name of the Razr. Motorola makes top knotch hardware. My biggest gripe with the Nexus would be samsungs over use of cheap plastics. It makes the phone thin and light, but it makes it feel lower end (from a pure feel perspective) to me.

I guess the use of plastic doesn't bother me as much because I would put a case on it anyway.

I do as well. Just bugged me when I did have it out. Dropped my droid x onto concrete. Didn't much hurt it. Had it been the galaxy, the way it landed, it would have been a new phone most likely. Plus to me, the feel of the phone itself adds to the experience.

That's odd because the launch day announcement for Galaxy Nexus was for Verizon as the US carrier.

Can you show me where it said that, because what I watched never said verizon...also remember the nexus one had a verizon page and everything but it never launched...again this could be a rumor but the person who said it is VERY reliable!!!

Stuart:

Do a search with galaxy nexus verizon and you'll find countless links pointing you to various sites both official (i.e. from Samsung) and what I would consider to be unofficial (chat with a tech support rep) indicating it will be released on Verizon in the US.

But the release date is only a few weeks away. Some page flips on the calendar and we'll know what's going on.

So you didnt find it in the announcement huh? I am just saying this...and look this one up, The Nexus one had the same thing....but there was NEVER a official statement from verizon, same as this...just rumors and things showing up in systems and so on and so forth...but p3droid has said he has learned from his source that it might not be happening...I hope verizon does get this phone, but p3droid is leaning towards no right now.

edit:just for history..

edit 2..something interesting here
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/ljn6s/what_is_to_come_of_the_galaxy_nexus_for_verizon/

edit 3: my personal belief is it is coming to verizon as I have seen system dumps with vzw stuff on it..also its hard to ignore that 4glte sign on the phone as we all know Verizons 4g lte symbol looks like that..its just hard not to hear what jcase and p3droid are saying as they are in the know...something could have held this up, I hope not as that i one sexy phone :D

I'm thinking about just going ahead and pre-ordering the Droid RAZR tomorrow, It looks like a great phone and the Kevlar, Gorilla Glass, and the water repellent nano coating offers a great amount of protection, which I need.
