Another transponder question

My mom has some trees blocking her signal at 101 degrees.. Transponder 1 is at approx. 50% signal strength and transponder 2 is around 85% signal strength.

My question is how is there that much difference in the signal strength between the two transponders..

It sounds like you say, a tree problem, or the dish may need to be re-aligned. A 50% reading will bring in a picture in clear weather, but the slightest amount of rain could knock it out. On average signals off the 101 sat. should range between 75-95 %.
 
Um... no, damaged, transponder 2 is not a spot beam. The 101 spots are on 4, 12, 18, 20, 26 and 28.
