Will a regular TV antenna work for HD or do I need a special antenna that says HD? As in would my rabbit ears or my car antenna thing I have that I'm using now work fine for it?

Yes a Regular TV Antenna will work. There really is no such Animal as a "HD Antenna" , it's all Marketing Hype !
Check out www.antennaweb.org and enter your Zip Code there, see what is recommended for your area.

I picked up an old 6' vhs/uhf antenna (the one with the "yagi" vee in front) at a garage sale for $5.00. I put it on a pole, wired it up and it delivers GREAT HD from Victoria, Canada...seventeen miles away. You don't need anything more sophisticated; the "HD" is in the signal, not the antenna.l
