Any 1 year service contracts?

Has anyone seen any good deals that only require 1 year commitment? I'm looking to go to DirecTV (the "cable" service my apartment provides sucks).

What I want:
2 room setup. Ideally one of them is a DVR unit, the other doesn't have to be.

I am looking to get the NHL Center Ice package.

Possibly looking at HD as well in addition.

Everything I've been looking at requires a 2 year commitment...

I think you can activate regular Directv boxes with 1 year contract, i am not sure.

But if you activate any advance boxes, like DVR, or HD, then it requires 2 years contract. :

Right on, base receivers 1 YEAR CONTRACT Advanced product 2 YEAR CONTRACT this is mandated by DIRECTV no dealer can change it.
