I am looking to pickup DirecTV in my new apartment and wanted to see if anyone from this area (NJ/NY) switched from Cablevision. Currently, I just use my TIVO with my provider so I do not have the on-demand channels anyway. Since DirecTV carries YES! Network, I get all of my Yankee games so I really do not see a problem.
My only concern is if I will regret it with quality or if the DVR DirecTV has will be far inferior to my Tivo HD XL.
