I am looking for a solution that gives me a FTA receiver, PVR and an HD ATSC tuner. I was coming close to deciding on the CoolSat 8100 but then I came across the CaptiveWorks 3000. The CaptiveWorks is a Linux based computer with a DVB card, tuner card, audio card, video card. It sounds like it does everything I fantasize a box doing. I had been thinking about building a Linux MythTV box with these sorts parts, but when I did a parts cost estimate it wasn't far off from the $450 that you can get the 3000 for and I would have to do all the systems integration work which may not work out.

Does anybody have this system and what kind of experience have you had?
Does the system work well in all the capacities outlined above?
Is it easy to work with and reliable?
I know they are a bit different, but how does the CaptiveWorks compare to the CoolSat 8100?

The fundamentals I am looking for out of a system is a good FTA tuner (HD is a plus), an HD OTA tuner, a flexible PVR. The 3000 offers several more elements above those requirements: full networking and streaming between my other systems, web browsing and a lot of potential for geeky upgrades.
