any carbonized love for hopper 2k platform

Scott, what do you hear. Are we still getting he CUI on the HWS in March? March is 1/3 over.

If the Hopper 2K gets it, it will not be until the end of the year.

I don't mind waiting, but I really hope the original Hopper gets it.

If it doesn't, then I'll basically be stuck with 2 options. Option #1 - Buy a used but owned Hopper w/ Sling to replace my original owned Hopper, so I can finally get the Carbon UI, or Option #2 - Buy the new LNB and Hub thingy and Hopper 3 and potentially a new dish, so I can get the whole Hopper 3 setup without having to go on a 2-yr term.

Do we know for sure what kind of technical specs differ between the original Hopper and the Hopper with Sling, that would prevent the former from getting the CUI? I thought the hardware was the same in both, with the only difference being the wireless Sling capability.

The Hopper w/Sling definitely has a faster CPU. It possibly has more RAM as well. We went from a 1 to a 2 and it was without question faster.
