I'm leasing 2 622s right now. Also have a 510 and 508. Since Dish won't let me lease another 622 or 722, I'll need to purchase it. From DishStore.net of course:up 722 will replace my 508. Just want to make sure there's no issues installing and activating a 3rd 622/722 box.

you better have that phone line, cause they will get you on that 2nd tuner fees. you should not have any problem as long as you own the reciever. they might tell you that you have to de-activate both 508, and 510. give them a call.

They WILL let you lease more than the two 622s, you just have to talk with the right person. Either the exec team or cancellation dept., don't even waste your time with 1st level CSRs or acct. specialists. They are unable to activate more than 4 leased tuners i.e. your 2 622s. Either try ceo@echostar.com or call to cancel your service and they should hook you up.

By the way, I have to say, IMO, this is complete BS that these games have to be played to have the privelage of giving more money each month to this company! It was a nightmare getting my 722 activated after ERT sent me the receiver because the idiot CSRs wouldn't activate it. After getting cut off during the second phone call, I had to call again and threaten to cancel to get to someone who could turn on the receiver.

Anyway, Good Luck!

Thanks. I may try the CEO route. If that doesn't work, I'll just purchase the 722. Doesn't make sense to me either. I called Comcast and asked about renting 3 HD DVRs. They said no problem, "Just let us know when you'd like to switch from Dish and we'll take care of you". I don't understand the reasoning behind the 4 tuner leasing policy. Dish is still getting my $6 a month lease fee.

I totally agree. Comcast bites! Since I have Dish AEP, or whatever they call it now, no monthly dvr fees for me. I would never switch to Comcast and pay $30+ a month in DVR fees.

With multiple 622/722's there should not be an issue of connecting a new receiver to phone line - just use DishCOMM. Dish COMM only requires one 622/722 to be connected via phone or ethernet, others communicate through it.
