Hey, I didn't say I don't believe you , but in my situation I think I have more leverage with them because I am not in contract and I have been a good paying customer for 3 accounts for 19 years. I think everyone's personal situation is different and as such they should all try to get the best deal they can. That is why I own my receivers and it has worked for me since the beginning with DISH. If you don't remember that was how you got DISH back in the day. You paid for the first year's programming and the receivers and you owned them. Now in your personal situation it is different and that is good as well.You don't have to believe me but not only have I been a customer I've been a retailer. When you know how their company works and you subscribe to their top programming along with equipment every year they tend to want to keep you.
You really think that small cancellation fee is better than keeping me for more years? My bill is always over $100 even after discounts. Why let me cancel for a couple hundred bucks when they can keep and make thousands.

Dish knows people like you & I are becoming the majority that's why they introduced Sling TV & the $49.99 Price Lock promo. I cut the cord & did Sling TV, which continues to be an overwhelming success for Dish. Definitely not a Dish substitute for those who want the bells & whistle but good enough for those looking to cut cost of TV without doing so cold turkey.I did speak to the loyalty dept lol. I clearly said the price was getting too high and I was considering being a cord cutter. Tv is simply not that huge of deal to me, it's nice to relax and all but not worth $100 a month to me. My son would be the most upset due to no cartoons but most are on Netflix or even YouTube.

Well okay since we sill haven't figured out what determines the difference between joeys besides date of manufacture( which unless you kept the box you'll never know ) How would Dish Depot know if you have the right equipment?
So for argument sake
I would need to buy 5 joeys and a Hopper 3 an LNB and splitter.
So Hopper 3 $280
1 4K joey $150
4 Joey 2.0. $396
Hybrid LNB $50
DUO splitter $16
2 4 way splitters $16
Plus 6 % sales tax

I would rather have the New Truck tires, or better yet, 5 months of my current Dish bill paid in full.I can't get over how badly people don't want to renew a contract. It's only 2 years or you pay a small ETF. Why even consider paying anything when most likely you would get everything you listed for free in an upgrade.
