Any recent news in regards to 3D channels coming to Dish Network still?

I read in the forums a couple months back a couple of 3D channels were in the works for Dish Network with a supposed launch of July which has come an gone.

Anyone have any updates to when, what, or where now or has this been scrapped?

I think the main delay is that the existing channels have done so poorly, Dish is waiting to see if they need 3D channels.

What existing channels? I don't understand your answer at all.

He was probably referring to the 5 3D channels on Directv. Personally, I love them, and would like to see more 3D channels added.

I think they are waiting for 3D TV to get past the novelty stage

Yea I have been saying it since the beginning it was going to be more a fad than anything an it isn't even so much the having to wear glasses or the cost of the technology as it is the quality of 3D movies. And when I say quality I mean the type of movies 3D was designed for with real 3D action in it.
