Anyone do IRC chat. I've opened #dishnetwork on the undernet network. Someone is sitting on that channel on efnet. Come join me for real time conversations

I live in IRC, but I stay mainly in Freenode which is more geared around open software and technology. Also, does Undernet have Nickserv and Chanserv? Given I'm in IRC right now on Freenode I've done the same and created #dishnetwork there.

IRC still exists? I remember that from college days. talk about a ride down memory lane!!

Yep, it still exists. Not limited to college. A lot of us old farts still chat. On Saturday afternoons our (Rochester, NY) local computer call in show has a channel called #soundbytes on efnet.

Yup. I even used to use Undernet a lot. Nowadays, corporate firewalls keep me goofing off in other ways. ;)

I'm pretty much on Freenode most of the time, though it generally runs either detached on my home server (using screen) or it's minimized. On Freenode I mainly frequent #hamradio, #macosx, #devious (for devio.us unix shell service), and a few others depending on what projects I'm working on. I used to hang out on Efnet and Undernet years ago, but it just became harder to find good conversation on both networks. Freenode always seemed more friendlier, IMO anyway.
