On Amazon, Apocalypse Now is listed as discontinued by the manufacturer. Not sure how to take that - more or (sadly) less likely to ever come out on Blu-ray?

I'll have to check my EHDs, but I think I erased it after my watching. Might need to dust off the Blockbuster card and go get it, so my son can see it. It's on his list.

I prefer the redux version. Both are listed at Blockbuster. Both are listed as discontinued by the manufacturer at Amazon.

Actually, it looks like Amazon still has some for sale. Just hate to buy a DVD rather than a BD. Maybe renting it is the best option. But just because Blockbuster has it on their site, doesn't mean they have it in a store near me. Don't watch enough movies to do the by mail thing.

But, it's important to do this for my son. So if I don't find it on an EHD, I'll buy the darned thing.

After reading the reviews on Amazon, I realized that the only version I've seen is the original, and that one seems to be the preferred version. So I bought the 2 disc set containing both.
