I'm installing Comcast at my boss's new residence tomorrow. I have a purchased (Comcast approved) Motorola MB8611 modem, a wifi router, and a Comcast supplied HD STB. Can I use a splitter to divide the signal from the jack behind the TV to the modem and the STB? If so, which type of splitter?

Likely any good bi-directional power-pass all ports 2 or 2.5 Ghz splitter will work just fine. Look for one that's rated at no more than about 3.5db loss for the splits. I did this years ago with a Monster brand 2-way splitter. Worked perfectly.
