Trying to archive to EHD two programs that were recorded under PTAT and they will not show up in the transfer menu. Transferred the programs to DVD, still not showing up to transfer. Is this normal?

I have not attempted this myself, but try saving to internal, then move from internal to external disk.

You have to transfer to your dvr area, then wait for the PTAT for that day to be deleted. Then you can move to EHD.
You must "save" the PTAT recording, then wait 8 days for it to actually save to the user partition (it will disappear from the PTAT folder but remain in My Recordings).
Then you can transfer to EHD.

What a pain.... I'm getting the Hopper replaced tomorrow because the HDMI went out. Losing these programs...
I have PTAT shows from friggin May (way 8 days older) and I can't even move them to EHD. I used to have that capability. What's up with that? Did the software update screw it up in some way? the only show I can move is Criminal Minds season finale. That's so weird.
