Thinking of switching from satellite to triple play I will have two HD TV with

two boxes

And was wanting to know if I can use component video on my HD set and the
Composite video to a modulator so I can watch dvr on either TV.
I know the modulated channel will be in SD but that’s ok I need multi room viewing

Powerhouse 1960,

I am interested to find out how well this works and what type of equipment you use.

Thanks.

Why bother to use a modulator. My Motorola HD DVR has an RF modulated output already. That is how all the installers have been instructed to connect the HD boxes :(

I have confirmed that both are active at the same time on my unit (Motorola 6412)

You are aware though that you cannot have two different outputs at the same time. Both TVs will need to be tuned to the same channel, even though the box has two tuners. It is not like the DISH 722. Only on channel or recorded program output at a time.

Sorry I cannot tell you how this works I decided to do dish network.
The small hard drive in their dvr and the fact that tvio has a problem with analogs made me go to dish and I like their receiver maybe in two years I will revisit the Comcast cable.
