But I did enjoy the "knee chopper" in the background. Where the steering wheel folds under the dash.

I suspect this is another sizzle with little steak.

And it looks like a LOT of equipment on each of those power poles.

more and more rural power lines are buried to avoid damage from hurricanes, tornadoes, snow/ice, ect

heck some rural power companies are even running fiber for meter reading, my coop did.

as interesting as this looks i dont see it being viable in many areas
 
But it is a nice twist on the overhyped BOPL. I just have little hope it will be anywhere near as good as they say. Maybe not practical at all.

Might be another "second best solution."

It's actually different than BOPL. As the AirGig articles say, it uses "mmWave surface wave launchers and inductive power devices can power themselves without a direct electrical connection. These devices create a multi-gigabit signal that travels along or near the wire – not through it.

I understand that. But it is tied to power lines all the same.

I also wonder if in the real world, it will cause interference, like BOPL did in the real world.
