Kenny Price was shaking his head when he received a $62,823.21 water bill. The Atlanta resident says his water bills are normally $60 to $80, so the jump was astronomical. Even when the water main to the house was shut off, the dial on the meter cycled completely around approximately every 45 seconds. Price hired a plumber who could not find a leak to explain the missing 1.2 million gallons of water. After Price's complaints, an Atlanta Department of Watershed Management worker checked the meter and found nothing wrong, but later a spokesperson said they would investigate the matter further.

I bet he was shocked when he got that bill. :)

Hows the meter still going around withthe water main turned off?

That is just crazy!!

Water main is probably next to the house. There is pipe between the meter and the main....
But hes lawn would have collapsed if that pipe had leaked that much water.

Not where I live. Our soil is pure adobe and let me tell you it will suck up all of it and not show a thing on top...
