This "Tony Franklin Spread Offense" has been a complete disaster for Auburn, and I figured this was coming, I'm just surprised it happened so soon. Franklin had to go, but I think Coach Tuberville deserves another chance, though a lot of disgruntled fans are also calling for him to be fired.

The spread offense requires the right personnel. There's typically a lull in between the time the players learn the new system and the coaches acquires the right players. A perfect example of this would be Michigan. They're going through the same thing right now.
