I've got a non 3D 70" Sharp and don't have that issue. For the record, I am using a Denon AVR in between. In fact, I needed to upgrade my AVR when I bought the Sharp a few years back because I had that very same sync issue. My old Denon didn't have an auto sync mode. The new one does and everything has been well since.
