Well I thought I was doing real well with my Premium Plus, I had just scanned in my 2'nd Satellite - 99.0W after yesterday scanning in my true South Sat 97.0W. Then the roof fell in. I cannot see any Sat Channels & TV screen says NO SIGNAL Polarity Change doesn't do anything and worse yet I've lost all 99.0W channels after manually cycling the V Box III back to 97.0W. I had 2 Sats stored in V BoxIII and then I reset & counted it down and did a Complete reset ie 10 9 8 7 6 until it totally reset itself. Did several reboots on AZBox but nothing changed!!

Blinking Red X on the Antenna Symbol- What Does This Mean?
Cannot see any channels on 97.0W either despite good Signal in Blue but zero Quality. Picture says NO SIGNAL, Polarity change does NOTHING. But what is really annoying and is the Blinking RED X on top of the Dish Antenna Symbol in the Top Right Hand Side of the TV Screen? Can anyone please tell me what this means? Tried to find something on this in the PDF Manual but nothing is there about this problem!! Do I have to erase and rescan everything in again? Any help would be very much appreciated.

Got It Resolved:
Well finally fixed it. Due to Dish Travel or Lashover the settings had shifted 10 points re the Actuator and V Box III and I could get signal but the Sat Channels had been stored at a Different location point on the Dish's / Actuator's travel in the AZBox - hence the Blinking RED X on the Antenna Symbol at the top right of the screen . (Thanks Billion). Also the Actuator has some Rust on it likely due to all the Rain we had this summer. Went into Data Reset and Deleted the Existing Channels, then re Blind Scanned and everything is back. However on 97.0W I only scanned in about 148 TV Channels which seems a bit low - but at least there are no duplicates, as well as 121 Radio Channels, there were 20 Tp's. This shifting of 10 Points for my Actuator's Travel happened one other time about a 2 years ago & it was very confusing then having to sort it out. Its also been been really windy lately.

Slow AZBox Blindscan?
Blind Scan with the AZBox seems to be painfully slow and the response to the S & Q signal Levels is at times really extremely slow. It's a lot slower to respond to the Signal Levels than my much cheaper ViewSat Receiver, but then there are more advantages re AZBox especially some of the GDMX channels & what looked like some HD Channels I saw on 99.0W Before I had to delete them.

yes it it is slow blind scanning and sometiems does not find even the obvious but it is still helpful.

shifting 10 points or more can be easily fixed using the Auto-shift or whatever name is function that every VBOX has. read the manual , it involves first selecting the sat position with the receiver (sat list) or vbox (PXX) numbers and then manually moving the dish to the new exact location with the east/west Vbox keys to peak signal and then press and hold the shift key or hole in the Vbox remote. It then will shift all saved PXX positions by the proper fixed amount either east or west as necesarry. no need to reset or delet and reset positions again. it usually happens overtime in most installs due to noise interfering with the pulses therefore the Vbox miscounting overtime 10 points or more. More likely to happen to people who often move the dish every day from one extreme to the other. The dish moved 100 points but the Vbox misread 98 therefore your are effectively 2 points ahead and like the minutes on your US cellphone (not in canada) the 2 points will roll over and add up in the future. Too bad that unlike the old analog receivers , the Vbox does not have a ground connection to properly use a shielded cable and ground the shield to avoid interference.

Thanks for the Tip hdfan. I think what you suggesting is in the V Box III manual under: "Re-synchronize all the satellite positions" - great info it would certainly be a time saver the next time my Actuator gets out of whack - thanks again.
