Azbox Newgen+ questions

Is it HD (must be with hdmi cable?)
Looks like a nice unit at a good price on amazon.
Manuel pid entry?
Just wondering if they were good and if you could find files and updates of it.

The GX6107 chipset is DVBS not S2. Looks like the HDMI is used just as a connector for SD programming......

Definitely some conflicting information when Googled.

This is a cheap AzBox clone made in China and from the looks of it, is not even an HD receiver. As found on azbox.com, the only authentic AzBox models at this time are:

AzBox Elite (discontinued)
AzBox Premium (discontinued)
AzBox Ultra (discontinued)
AzBox Premium Plus (current)
AzBox ME (coming this summer)
AzBox Mini-Me (coming soon)

I figured it wasn't much good.
But with the azbox name,it makes you wonder.
And even with a hdmi output doesn't make it HD.
Just another unit to stay away from.
With the openboxes being so cheap,I was think this was az's answer to economy.
