Bally Sports and MSG RSN Are Reportedly Preparing For Bankruptcy

The Indians were on a separate package that cost MORE than the MLB.TV package together ... why would they charge More for 1 team like that, do they not want any subs.
Maybe because the only other option for people who want the local team is through cable/satellite etc
Last season about 2 or 3 weeks into the season they offer the local team for much cheaper. That is how I got the Twins local broadcast. It was like $60 for the season or how much extra per month on satellite/cable etc? Directv to move up from Entertainment (which my landlord pays at the building I am in) to Choice is like $32-35 or something like that per month. What about people who don't give a rats patoot about getting Directv etc that wants just the local sports team??

Unfortunately , people probably will ....
They charge 60% of the whole league, for 1 team ... btw, it's not those in what was your RSN, this is much more expensive than that, at least when I had an RSN to pay for I got all 3 teams.
Yeah if MLB is going to take over these FanDuel orphaned teams and you live in a market with multiple teams MLB should give you all teams in your geographic location for one reasonable price. I mean it isn't your fault you live in an area where multiple teams claim you as being in their area.

I'm at the point where I wish they would just make the package a lump sum package for a higher price. LIke if it's currently $100, just make the thing $150 for everyone and give you all the teams. Stop messing around with this market based nonsense. The issue is the big market teams would lose a lot of revenue and the small market teams would gain a ton of revenue. They COULD fix this by adjusting the current revenue sharing model to counteract this, but of course that's too easy and too sensible. Can't have that!

I agree. However the current price as of last season was $150. That might double to get all teams. For some reason they expect people to pay more for their "home" teams. I really hate it when the Cubs and Cardinals play and I can't watch the Cubs broadcast because I am in the St. Louis market.

Yuck! Why would anyone want to watch the Cubbies? 😁
