Basic question about sg2100

Hi guys,
I have a basic question about sg2100 shaft play. A couple of days ago my brother ran my 90 cm dish, which is controled by an sg2100 motor to the wall which it's mounted to. The motor is still under warranty.I disconnected the motor from the dish.When the motor is connected to the dish it has a little play,but when I disconnected it from the dish It's barely notice-able. My question to you guys is that, as a general rule of thumb, how much shaft end play is okay.

You will have more trouble with shaft play as you move further east or west from due south, due to the weight of the dish being shifted to one side. Do a search of this forum for "backlash adjustment" for more info and solutions.
