Best Picture Quality: Dish or Directv

Yeah, but even the worst are pretty good for the average Sat Guys member. Most are not as discerning as a few.
With a 43" older Vizio that was $1200 in 2008, the pq on Dish is fine. I have never had Direct TV, so I have no idea. Some OTA has better pq, depending on how many sub channels the service carries. I also watch a lot of 480i stuff anyway, as I like the older shows.

Yeah, there's both good and bad when it comes to having some subchannels. With subchannels you get more options to watch, but also at the same time to add those subchannels it takes more bandwidth and picture and sound quality can degrade somewhat.
