I got the normal 3-mo free Showtime promo when I signed up last May, and had no intentions of keeping it. Went to cancel it a couple of weeks early, and the service rep said I would be getting a few dollars credit on my bill for the remaining portion I did not use. Huh? Does this sound right? If I had known this, I would have cancelled the 2nd day I had service, and gotten the full $12 per month credits to my bill.

Just a guess, but maybe the csr didn't realize it was a promo.

I know if you cancel a couple days early you do get a credit. But if you would have cancelled 2nd day after you got them not only would you have forfeited the promos you would have paid a penalty...Its a 30 day minimum even on "freebies"
